Two Roman Catholic female priests who were recently ordained co-pastored their first mass Saturday night in the central west end.
Rose Marie Hudson and Elsie McGrath led the service at the first Unitarian church of St. Louis.
About one hundred people showed up.
The service was held in the church's Hope Chapel.
The pastor of the church says it was a fitting place for an event where hope and understanding were very much alive.
The Roman Catholic Church does not recognize the ordination of Hudson and McGrath that was conducted by an organization called Roman Catholic Women Priests.
Hmmmmm....Rectorix?...
...not amusing to an individual scheduled for a colonoscopy later in the week...
These are NOT Roman Catholic Women Priests!! They aren’t Roman Catholic anymore, they aren’t PRIESTS, and they probaboly aren’t women...they are LESBIANS dancing on the trapdoors of HELL!
The ONLY word that’s true in that whole sentence is “TWO”.
All of which assumes that the issue being addressed actually merits an intelliegent response. Often it doesn't. Frequently it's simply the repetition of oft rebutted arguments, legends, rumors and sometimes outright lies.
It's a little late to take the high road, Alex.
Truly.
You're well aware by now that Catholic apologists on this forum are perfectly capable of debating any aspect of Catholicism or indeed Protestant theology in an intelligent, reasonable and informed manner. They're too capable. That's the problem.
So you don't go there.
Rather, you post some piece of tripe which you know is guaranteed to anger and inflame somebody who will dismiss it as being at the same level as Chick agitprop. Which is often the case. Enter Alex shrieking "Irving's law"! We win!!
Claim victory, Alex. It's childish in the extreme and it's getting worse. Your most recent offering is really scraping the bottom of the barrel and is a perfect example of what I'm talking about.
You've earned a well merited place on my "time waster" filter as someone with no serious interest in honest give and take. Your responses to this and any other of my posts will be ignored.
Thanks for the replies. I now understand the reasoning.
Nope,
Out of respect to you and the others no,
A light went on, that’s all.
No thank you,
What you wrote was enough.
I wonder ...
Still, you've identified the twin failings of this forum ... and I mean FR in general, not just the "Religion Ghetto".
1) Too many folks have forgotten (if they ever knew) how to seek understanding without agreement.
2) Too many folks have forgotten (if they ever knew) how to disagree without being a jerk.
Erm,
thank you (I think).
1) Too many folks have forgotten (if they ever knew) how to seek understanding without agreement.
2) Too many folks have forgotten (if they ever knew) how to disagree without being a jerk.
Amen to that.
That you decline to discuss the matter on this forum suggests to me that you don’t think the forum will support polite discussion. If so, I agree ... and I think that’s a tragedy.
LOL!
Me keeping my mouth shut is a miracle, not a tragedy. :)
