That's an interesting point ... Interesting because I've seen folks argue that precisely this has happened, more than once. It wasn't islamics so arguing.

God could do anything He wanted, of course. But the covenant is basically that He won’t. The only things that have ever interrupted the laws of nature are miracles (including things such as the Virgin Birth and the Resurrection), but they do not constitute a reversal or change to the general law of created nature or the moral law within it.

Interesting. What do you make of miracles, then? Does God work everything out lawfully according to codicils of laws we just haven’t figured out yet, or does He on occasion just make a sovereign move that demonstrates that the laws of nature do not limit Him??
