[walked away from a valuable property barely three years old with new gothic stone worth millions. It was very painful for me personally, but I saw that the gospel could not be compromised any longer. Truth had to triumph over institutional loyalty. The sad truth is that many Episcopalians, have become Gnostics and think they are the center of revelation, not God, and feel perfectly easy about changing things as they see that move them. I could not.”]
His reward will be great in heaven. The Lord Jesus Christ is the center of the universe and we who believe Him are His saints.
Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Indeed!
I can attest too, that the building he abandoned for Christ' sake is gorgeous. Without doubt the most attractive newly built church I have seen...with architecture like that of churches of 75+ years ago, and solid stone and block. I pray that one day, when TEC repents OR collapses, he'll get that building back...for the glory of God.
