It has been the universal and consistent practice of the Church to ordain only men to the priesthood.

This is also true in the Orthodox Church.

The root of the whole idea of ordaining women to the priesthood is simply pride and foolishness.

Here are four pages about the Sacrament of Holy Orders from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. #1580 specifically talks about "married priests."
