When I attended a LDS for a year while in collage living with my uncle an LDS Bishop, I never heard the Bible mentioned once...not once.

You should not have SLEPT so much!!

You obviously missed out when they were going over the mistranslated stuff and correcting it.

My dad just gave me a CD that was taken from a reel-to-reel tape. It is a tape of me and my brothers and sisters talking to my grandparents on Christmas Day. At the end of us talking, my dad added a much earlier tape. I was about 4 years old at the time. He asked me what I talked about in Sunday School that morning. "Jesus". My dad then asked me what song I wanted to sing. "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam." So I sang that song. The first thing I remember reading was Bible Stories. At eight years of age, when I was baptized, I received a Bible (King James version) and a Book of Mormon.

As a family, we read from the Bible. When I was in Seminary (ninth grade through 12th grade), we studied the Old and New Testament. In order to pass the class, we read the whole book and studied and discussed it. (The other 2 years we studied the Book of Mormon and The Doctrine & Covenants.) I took New Testament (2 semesters) at BYU. I took Old Testament at BYU (2 semesters.) I also took a Bible Literature class as well as a religions of the world class.

In Sunday School we study The Old Testament for 1 year, the New Testament for 1 year, the Book of Mormon for 1 year, and the Doctrine & Covenants for 1 year. (We are currently studying the New Testament, we talked about II Corinthians last Sunday.) In my personal reading, I read from the Book of Mormon in the morning, and from the Bible at night before I go to bed.

I am not unique. The Bible is included in our scripture study, indeed, we believe that the Bible testifies of Christ. We believe that the Book of Mormon is a second testament of Christ. The Bible is central to our faith.

That's so sad. You should come to my ward. BTW, what meetings did you attend on a weekly basis? Sacrament Meting? Gospel Doctrine? What was the course of study in Gospel Doctrine? This year is the New Testament. I'm guessing it was a different one while you attended. They rotate every 4 years to get the entire cannon curriculum.
