There is a growing trend among Christian authors (particularly Protestant ones) where they feel the need that everything they write must be biblically based and supported by scripture even when it may not be. So often they find vague scriptures or pull verses out of context to associate their ideas with the Bible. By doing so they can inadvertently introduce heresies.
I do not understand why Christian authors feel this need to have every idea backed by scripture. A good idea is a good idea, even if the Bible never addresses the subject.
