Greetings fellow FReepers.
G-d forgives the sins committed against Him when we sincerely turn to Him in repentance. However, for sins committed against our fellow man He commands that we seek forgiveness from those we have wronged and to correct our offenses against them.
To Jim Robinson, I once again express the deepest thanks for allowing an un-American Theocrat like myself to post here. I have said many times that when I first came to FR (back when it was full of anti-Semites) I was a first class @$$hole. I have attempted to improve my attitude and my behavior since that time and succeeded to a certain extent. However, I am acutely aware that during the past months I seem to have degenerated into the same @$$hole I was when I first came here. To Jim, the other Mods, and all my fellow FReepers I apologize and ask forgiveness.
To the Religion Moderator I apologize for the same offenses enumerated above. I'm quite the handful, ain't I?
To Catholic FReepers I apologize for horning in on "Catholic Caucus" threads to argue. I have honestly attempted to correct this particular offense, and I hope I have succeeded. (All the more so since, be`ezrat-HaShem, I am hoping to start a Jewish/Noachide caucus this fall in order to post the Jewish liturgical Bible readings.)
To kawaii, I apologize for calling you an anti-Semite because you simply expressed a teaching of the new testament. When I first came here I determined that I would never seek anyone's censure or banning since my own beliefs and posts were themselves so indiosyncratic. However, as I myself was harrassed and treated this way by the anti-Semites who once resided here, I was determined to fight fire with fire. My accusation against you was not for the sentiment you expressed per se. It was because you were able to hold such a "reactionary" belief while (I assumed) having discarded everything in your tradition that conflicted with modern science. You explained to me that this assumption of mine was unwarranted and unjustified. And since I am not among those who insist that what people sincerely believe the word of G-d should be subjected to secular critique (indeed, please notice that I have never attacked the moslems for wanting to convert everyone else, stone adulterers, or even wanting to rule the world) I certainly was unjustified in what I said to and about you. It was petty and vengeful and I sincerely ask your forgiveness.
To Chicago Hebrew, I have not forgotten that I rebuked and probably embarrassed you on a thread now buried somewhere down deep in my "ping" list. It is my duty to apologize to you explicitly before the same people before whom I rebuked and embarrassed you. Can you ping me to that thread? If not I shall endeavor to find it myself. Until then, please accept this apology and plea for forgiveness in the hopes that it will be seen by the original witnessing parties.
Is there anyone else I have harmed or wronged or shamed publicly to whom I owe an apology, restitution, and a plea for forgiveness?
May HaShem Yitbarakh see fit to inscribe all FReepers, kol Kenesset Yisra'el, and all the world for a good, sweet, happy, and holy year, and may the coming year at long last bring the long-awaited redemption!
Um... for what its worth, I don’t recall any offense or embarassment. But, were any done, you of course have my forgiveness — and I hope you forgive me for any slights I may have made.
Thank you so much!!!
One final ping. Am I forgiven?
Am I cool with you?
if you’re asking forgiveness and feel you need it yes.
Thank you!
