During the Covenant Day Holy Mass for the Schoenstatt Movement the Priest change the wording of “this is the Lamb of God .... to “this is the Son of Mary .....” Is this type of change common and permitted?

I don’t think so! Even in liberal parishes here, “This is the Lamb of God” is pretty fixed.
