~”Is it always your way to think you are intellectual when others are not?”~
No, but people often think that of me once they get to know me.
Honestly, CC, I enjoy the crafting of words, so I write and speak in full and complex language. That comes off badly to some people, who take it as some kind of superiorism. I learned a long time ago that I really didn’t care. Prose is one of the few things at which I excel, and I fully intend to use it as well as I can, whether or not it makes others uncomfortable.
Just remember that behind the well-crafted paragraphs and wordy phrases, there’s just a guy in his 20’s sitting at a keyboard (in various states of undress) looking for a little bit of knowledge. If I demand intellectualism from others, it’s typically because I’m trying to learn from them.
What I’ve no patience for is when a person is purposefully intellectually lazy. Such a person is fairly rare, but he or she sticks out like a pimple on a pickle, and I have no interest in engaging in that kind of conversation. There’s just nothing to be learned.
Feel free to ignore me if my outlook continues to grate on you; but I’ve no intention of changing my behavior.
You sound like Delphi User.
I guess I am the pimple on a pickle!
Well it's no WONDER that you're LDS then!
