Very good response by the Southern Baptist!!!I agree.
I think it's interesting that among other Christian groups we don't see this claim of exclusivity.

I think it's interesting that among other Christian groups we don't see this claim of exclusivity. There are some that do.

i think what’s interesting there is that they trivialize Christ teachings and their own faith by accepting disenting views as equally valid.

I think it's interesting that among other Christian groups we don't see this claim of exclusivity. Well, that's a necessity, isn't it? The divisions that started immediately after the Reformation necessitated an ecclesiology where "the Church" was this invisible amalgamation of believers instead of an institution that was visible and identifiable.
To you, the non-assertion of exclusivity is a touchstone of orthodoxy. To me, it looks like a begrudging admission of an unpleasant historical fact.

I think it's interesting that among other Christian groups we don't see this claim of exclusivity. How could you? Once the bail out from the one true Church started in 1517, you've all subdivided into a gazillion (mostly little) groups.
Kind of hard to be "exclusive" when you're busy multiplying.

I think it's interesting that among other Christian groups we don't see this claim of exclusivity. Maybe it's because other groups adhere to the bible and the actual definition of church.
