I wondered when someone would come up with this lie. Don’t you realize that things go through multiple layers at the Vatican? It was probably written by Benedict, then passed down and around for any additions, etc., then to the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith for publication.

Get real.

**People in glass houses......**

Doesn’t this apply to you too as a minister?

PS. This post is totally OFF the subject and has no creditbility with most Catholics.

The document, signed by the congregation (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith) prefect, U.S. Cardinal William Levada, was approved by Benedict on June 29, the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul - a major ecumenical feast day.

The above is a true reporting of the facts.

Molestation Advocate Levada IS the signer; he IS the head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith (what a JOKE!); and he IS far worse than any Protestant Church the Pope decided to show his hatred for.

Wheee.

Sounds a bit hysterical to me - the use of multiple fonts and colours kinda gives it away. I didn’t realize that the Cardinal was an advocate of molestation before or that he was one of the three highest ranking prelates in the entire Catholic Church.

I just need to hang out here more and get edumacated.

Most lamestream media is mistaken. And I believe this one is too (although not of the usual lamestream.)

I am aware of several priests who were accused who are totally innocenet. But things were reported otherwise. It’s the spin, don’t you get it?

Where do the documents say that individual Protestants are not Christian? They merely state what the Church has always stated; there is one Church and all those body's not in communion with the one Church are lacking in the fullness of faith. There is no claim that individual Protestants are not capable of being true Christians.

Xzins, I'm sorry to hear of your financial troubles with the Catholics, and I'd be happy to extend you whatever credit is needed to keep this thread going. The only downside is that I'm stuck with a high interest rate on a credit line that the Catholics opened for me earlier today, and I'll probably have to pass it along to you. The upside is that it might turn you into a babe magnet. It seems to be doing wonders for me, let me tell you.

The [RCC] Church is infallible, xzins. They can do no wrong.

Get with the program.

It is a lie to refer to Cardinal Levada as a "Sex Molestation Advocate." The case you site about an adult woman seeking child support from the Portland archdiosese after her sexual relationship with a seminarian has NOTHING to do with "molestation."

This is reminiscent of the people who stupidly called Bill Clinton a "child molester" because of the age difference between he and Monica Lewinsky, who was a legal adult at the time. You may not like what the Pope has to say about Protestantism (I am not a Catholic, so I couldn't care less about what the Pope says), but that's no excuse for lying about the church. Get a grip.

The program starts with baptism, then with confession and then with Communion.

I’ve been fortunate to assist with RCIA programs and would extend my help and support to all.

There’s been some bitterness and bile in some of these posts as well as on some others.

I know that this is hard and who can accept it? Fallacies and false doctrines are easier.

I guess when you define the “Church” - then you can define others as not part of it. If the Bible is allowed to stand, then it there is an entirely different answer.
