They teach that a person is saved by prayer.

no they don't and I'm not a Baptist, strictly speaking.

"They teach that a person is saved by prayer." - "Baptists teach that sinners are saved by faith only."

Well, which is it?

This simply says that a person desiring to join the Baptist Church must tell that he is saved. The Baptist Church then votes to determine whether the church thinks he is saved or not. They, deciding that he is, receive him into the church after baptism. Hence, he must confess that he is saved, that he is a member of the kingdom of God already, and then, he joins the Baptist Church. This being true, then it follows that a person can be a member of the kingdom of God, or body of Christ, or New Testament Church, before, and without belonging to the Baptist Church.

Huh? Certainly isn't the way things are done at my Baptist church.

The purpose of this website is to promote “unity”, and the people there apparently do that by bashing Baptists. Many Baptist churches are independent churches and will never join in any ecumenical unity. So we see why this site hates them. What exactly is your reason for posting this?

"What exactly is your reason for posting this?"

Mormons attack Baptists because Baptists nail Mormons as a cult.

I don’t have 40 minutes to read the whole thing, just skimmed it. Looked like a bunch of nonesense though.

bremenb is some variety of cambellite out of the denomination called, “churches of christ/christian churches.”

They believe that any christian church that identifies themselves more than saying “christian” on the sign out front is not a true church. You can’t say “presbyterian” or “baptist” because the bible doesn’t mention any churches by that name.

They also believe in baptismal regeneration, and many believe that musical instruments in church are of the devil. But, they have no problem with pulpits, pews, and kitchens.

Like the article stated most baptist don't know what the baptist Church teaches

THREE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS:

Does what you have been reading make sense to you? Is there any reason why you would not be willing to receive God’s gift of eternal life? Are you willing to place your faith in Jesus right now and turn from your sin? The Bible says, "For Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans.10:13). You need to ask the Lord to save you.

Read this prayer and see if it says what you want to say to God. "Dear God, I know that Jesus is Your Son, and that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead. I know I have sinned and need forgiveness. I am willing to turn from my sins and receive Jesus as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ name. Amen" Call upon the Lord in repentance, faith, and surrender, using these or similar words of your own, and Jesus will become your Savior and Lord. Welcome to the family of God! You have just made the most important decision of your life.

Salvation Page Sinners Prayer

: " Oh God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when he died on the Cross. I believe that He shed his blood, Died on the Cross, and rose again, for my sins. I now recieve Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your mercifull grace. Amen. " All that's left for you to do is to accept the gift that Jesus is holding out for you right now. "If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10 God says that if you believe in His son, Jesus, you can live forever with Him in glory. "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

Are you ready to accept the gift of eternal life that Jesus is offering you right now? If it is your sincere desire to ask Jesus to come into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior, then talk to God from your heart: Here's a Suggested Prayer: "Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe You died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in Heaven for me. Jesus, come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me. I am now placing my trust in You alone for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life."

Psalm 66: 1-2 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honor of his name: make his praise glorious. Psalm 95: 1-3

O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Psalm 98: 4-6 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King. Psalm 100 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Psalm 149: 1-5 Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

Wait... your tagline: “Just Because I Am Born Again...” (Very clever, BTW.)

Mormons aren’t “born again”, so I apologize for the insinuation.

When Pope John Paul died, the whole world sang his praises. In comparison, when Jerry Falwell, a Baptist, died, the whole world cursed him and rejoiced. Using the bible for our guide, which one was the true prophet?

Please tell me how it is done in your Baptist Church? Yours maybe a exception.
