St. Sabina's Rev. Michael L. Pfleger told his congregation that Farrakhan's presence at the church is only strange to people who don't know Minister Louis Farrakhan. He's spoken here many times and St. Sabina is a home for Louis Farrakhan, said Pfleger, who called Farrakhan a gift from God to a sick, sick world.

Already posted somewhere in the news/activism section. Some very interesting replies. Fr. Pfleger is in a game of chicken with Cardinal George and currently winning.

I hate the division ... between people who believe in God, he said. I love the Bible, I love the Quran and I don't know how I can come in a Christian church with a Christian pastor and not speak from the book that Christians believe in, because I believe in it as well. What 'true' Muslim would do that!? What do we know about the American 'Nation of Islam'. Is it truly Muslim?

That sure doesn’t look like a Catholic church, maybe it’s the parish hall? No crucifix, no altar, no tabernacle, etc...? And what’s with the neon “Jesus” sign? Very unorthodox to say the least. Seems more Baptist than Catholic from the small amount we can see.

Unbelievable. I hope they’re offering Mass and rosaries for him... who knows, when he’s knocked off the horse on the road to Damascus... he’ll be a huge witness.

What’s the terrorist supporter talking about? If he believes in both the Bible and the Koran, that’s irreconciliable.
Louie F. looks as ill as he’s reported to be btw.

I wonder if Calypso Louie called Fr. Pfleger a white devil and reminded him that he was the byproduct of a mad scientist's experiment gone bad? Or maybe he's backpedaling from the traditional NOI gospel?
St. Sabina's and Fr. Pfleger are a story in themselves. He's done a lot of good work trying to get drugs, etc., out of the community. They aren't exactly noted for their rigid obedience to the Archbishop, however.

Expect Cardinal George to give Father Micheal L. Pfleger a friendly phone call.

Popes kissing Korans...Catholic churches raising money to build muzlim mosques...Catholic churches playing church with muzlims...
Sounds like the Vatican is warming the Catholics up for a change in policy...

Reverend Pfleger likes to get himself in the news, doesn't he?
Chicago Priest Calls for Murder of Gun Shop Owner...
During an address at an anti-gun rally in front of Chuck's, Rev. Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina's Church, exhorted the crowd to "drag" shop owner, John Riggio, from his shop "like a rat" and "snuff" him.

Former Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan told a predominantly black Catholic church that people who believe in God need not be divided, delivering a message of religious unity that has marked his recent addresses.Sounds like JPII's vision is coming together nicely.
