Actually this was at OSU. The article opens with a mention of the “insurgent”, a student organ down here in Eugene who’s major theme is hatred of all religion (followed closely by hatred of all things Republican). But the “saint bombing” event was in Corvallis. The article didn’t make that clear enough, perhaps because it is from a Corvallis based publication. Can’t tell for sure, it’s an unattributed piece posted on the blog of Amy Wellborn, who is in Indiana.

Since I'm not a member of a religion that teaches of the saints, I don't clearly understand their significance, but I know their stories mean something to a lot of people and I respect that.

So I would not object if something like that did happen in Eugene, though I can assure you there are plenty of folks about who would, and it would have been investigated as a possible hate crime (whatever that is).
