I would characterize it as: I knew going in that anything this guy was teaching was completely useless and I knew that "meditation" without prayer is a waste of time, so I chose not to waste that time.

No, not at all.
I avoid Pilates because, in essence, it came from a diagnostic point of view and I'm not equipped for that. I leave that for the medical field.

Only ONE thing to do for him: give him your very BEST single left-over gold earrings, posts, etc....you know, the ones left over from the ones you've lost.
You might even give him a nice diamond, emerald, ruby post for his ordination date, birthday or Christmas. You can suggest color coding the post with the days of the Church year.

This might let him know, in a very subtle way, that his earring is causing you to focus on his earlobe, not on what he says of God.

I like pilates. It can be boring if it’s ALL you do, but it serves its purpose.
