Kurweil is noted for taking things to extremes. His pushing of the "Singularity" theory of human information/evolution has a tendency to make people look at some of his far fetched pronouncements with almost the same askance that UFO kooks get.
His excitement for the possibilities of the future sometimes over-rides logic and enters the realm of pure fantasy.
