What makes it so important to you that Peter resided in Rome. They are speaking of Rome as inclusive -- the entire Roman Empire, aren't they? So since Jerusalem was part of the Roman Empire, the sacerdotal chair could have been in Jerusalem?

That's not what I said. I said the Roman Empire consumed a lot of nations at that time. Peter was the first Pope as pronounced by Jesus.
