This statement is just plain creepy. I take it you count yourself amongst those who (sic) have been saved by His grace.
And all those Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and 19,999 non-Calvinist Reformist ("sects" is it?) get to enjoy eternal damnation.
What is creepy about that statement? The gospel is simple and I personally am one that has been saved by his grace. I don't care if you are Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, 19,999 non-Calvinist Reformist, baptist, methodist etc. If you don't believe that you are saved by grace, through faith in what Jesus did, then you will get eternal damnation. It is not about a church, it's about Jesus and his gift to us. It's not religion or ceremonies. Without faith it is impossible to please him.
YOU: This statement is just plain creepy
Creepy? And who says Catholics don't read their Bibles?
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." -- 1 Corinthians 1:18
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." -- Ephesians 2:5-10"Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." -- Romans 10:13
I take it you count yourself amongst those who (sic) have been saved by His grace.
Yes, I do, thank God. Me and my household, through NOTHING in ourselves, saved by God's grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.
Christ says He took my sins and paid for every one of them so that I could stand acquitted before God. I believe Him.
Don't you?
