What is creepy about that statement? The gospel is simple and I personally am one that has been saved by his grace. I don't care if you are Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, 19,999 non-Calvinist Reformist, baptist, methodist etc. If you don't believe that you are saved by grace, through faith in what Jesus did, then you will get eternal damnation. It is not about a church, it's about Jesus and his gift to us. It's not religion or ceremonies. Without faith it is impossible to please him.

This is why I used the bold font to stress the inference of "those chosen ones whom have the predestined ability to see the simple truth of the Gospels". The inference being that all others, no matter how much inward want and study, would be spinning wheels. This claim has nothing at all to do with faith in the sense that faith is an action of a fallen creation accepting the gift of our Lord.

"Hath not the potter power over the clay..." To read the Gospels through the eyes (and bad exegesis) of Romans 9 is just plain creepy.

You must both be baptised and beleive to be saved.
