"...the National Council of Churches..." Well, that tells me all I need to know about these folks.

water is a God-given resource So are amoeba and bacteria. Filtering those out costs money.

Every week it is some new Leftist cause. I'm getting sick of it all.
To: Alex Murphy
It's a good thing I became a Christian on the basis of Christ's work, rather than because of some Christians' "work."

If our creator hadn't intended man to drink bottled water, he wouldn't have created polyethylene terephthalate.

Oh, joy ... these guys are looney-tunes, too. I'm glad I left that church [PC(USA)] years ago.

You do realize though that the bottles are designed to start deteriorating as soon as they are opened and thus the plastic will get in the liquid and cause diarrhea? It is not recommended to reuse the bottles more then two or three times.

Well I thank you for your compliments! I actually feel smart for a change!
The ironic thing is I am usually way too...verbose. I have a hard time NOT writing 20 sentences on 1 post, e.g. Check out other posts I've made; most are "huge"! LOL

might not be free, but it is darn handy to have in an earthquake, or when you are driving, or walking around.
To: siunevada
The water is free but so are the germs and impurities.

I don't know that that's true (certainly not the "[intentionally] designed to deteriorate").
What is true is that plastics outgas. Doesn't matter if you open it or not. Eventually the item ALREADY in the container will get "plasticized", if you will. It will probably taste funny although fat chance it'll do much to you unless it's really "well done".
Putting new items in may start the process over again, not necessarily "poison" the items right away.

lol, they used to drink out of glasses.
To: Alex Murphy
They've never drank the water in Midland Texas.
Heck, they even tell the ILLEGALS not to drink the water there.

In October, the National Coalition of American Nuns, a group representing 1,200 Roman Catholic nuns in the US, adopted a resolution asking members to refrain from purchasing bottled water unless necessary, the report noted.
Dang I was hoping the Catholic Church would not involve themselves in this. I love my religion but sometimes they go off the deep end sometimes.
To: the OlLine Rebel
You are smart.
And I never mind a long comment that's substantive and well-written. Most days I'd consider myself lucky to find one.
Wishing you the very best.
