Was just watching Fox concerning the controversy over lethal injection in California, NY and elsewhere. A judge thinks they need to revamp the injection formula to insure that they perp doesn't suffer.
Mark Klaas was then brought on the air and said that we need to come up with some way of executing that insures no pain or suffering. The only way, he said, to do that is to bring back the Guillotine.
For Bible prophecy watchers, this is just one more piece of the puzzle:
Revelation 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

There was legislation in Georgia a while back that wanted to reintroduce the guillotine. IT was defeated.
Agreed on the latter part. We don't really have enough info concerning who does the beheading in Revelation. I just thought it was quite interesting to see that this is still being discussed as a method of execution in Western lands.

Exactly. Another scripture to look at is Rev 18:9
“The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, 10standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’
This could be Islamic terrorism, blowing up a nuclear bomb in Rome.
I'm not sure, but I think Rev 3:17 is a reference to the United States.

I cannot say how things will play out, but it is easy to see what has played out.
VERY unlikely. Leaving out all other possible issues with continued conciousness, by definition upon decapitation blood pressure immediately drops to zero. Which causes immediate loss of conciousness.
There is an extremely simple, non-violent way to execute. Small chamber, pump in nitrogen. As the concentration of oxygen drops, the person passes out without even realizing it.
Leave at 100% nitrogen for 30 minutes. Remove and dispose of body.

Doubt a squad of six would have a productivity of more than 4 to 6 per hour. Getting live people onto and bodies off the gurney is awkward.
Compare that to how many the same number of executioners could kill in the same amount of time using machine guns.
Murdering a lot of people quickly is not really difficult. All you need is a lot of willing killers. Don't even need modern weaponry.

There are accounts of their 100,000 man army capturing a city with 500,000 (temporary) survivors, who are then bound and divided out among the soldiers.
On the command, everybody chops head and a nice pyramid is built.
Probably half a million dead in no more than a few minutes. FAR more efficient than 20th century killing systems.
Nazi and commie regimes probably did not use similar methods for the simple reason that they really did not have that many cheerful killers among their troops.
How would he know, I don't think that anyone who has ever been guillotined has been asked if it hurt or not......Personally, I'd rather have the lethal injection. I think they put you to sleep first then give you something to stop your heart.
