Christ takes away sin

We still sin. But Christ paid the penalty for those sins. Christ took away the penalty. Past tense. It is over. We have been redeemed. Christ atoned for our sins "while we were yet sinners." "One sacrifice for sins for ever."

We are daily being sanctified by the Holy Spirit and at our death we will be glorified in His presence.

Again, I agree that Christ forgives our sins, even the sins after we accept the Gospel. But still, it is the relationship with God, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that is impacted after we accept Jesus as our Saviour. We are human, not spirit only. We are here in the already but not yet. Otherwise why bother living once we realize the Gospel? Why not fall on a knife to get there sooner? Would that sin stop us - if we know that Christ had already died for that sin and all others? Why does Jesus teach us to pray the following if our present and future sin doesn't affect our relationship with God?: Lk 11:4 "And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil." Is he toying with us or giving us empty words to pray to God the Father?

Will you answer my question on Mt 7:21 - "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Does the will of God not matter or is that assumed which means it is the will of God that I kill people after I accept the Gospel understand only Christ saves me?
