I personally believe in One God, and that Biblical manifestations of angels and such are manifestations of that One God, however therein interpreted.
"If I knew God I'd be Him." ('Wish I knew who said it.) But Satan, Lucifer...whatever, exist but in the human mind.
From a Catholic POV, there's no such thing as a "lesser god". I mean such a thing philosophically can't exist. "You either is one, or you ain't."
Angels are (metaphysically) created persons like us, but they have created angelic natures instead of human ones. If you imagine a continuum of being, there's things, animals, humans, angels ... and then an infinite distance until you get to God.
I understand your point of view. My personal view is that angels are servants of the One God, capable of great powers but only at the instigation of the Lord. I also believe that Satan/Lucifer is a real being and that he has beings that also serve him, although in his realm service is a perverted concept. They do not have the power of angels because they don't channel the Lord's power.
I also believe angels are not a "race" by themselves but are beings that once lived on the earth and continue to visit the earth in service to the Father. I don't accept the notion of personal angels for each person or the quaint concept of winged beautiful beings floating around us constantly. Angels are powerful beings, coming to earth on a very specific mission and then leaving. I have not seen a biblical authority for the idea of women angels although I guess they could exist.
