I was surprised that the Forty Year Old Virgin was as good of a movie as it was. While it employed every male virgin joke in the book, it ultimately had a positive message about it.

And I'm pleasantly surprised that the Usual FReeper Suspects haven't shown up (yet) with expert horndog advice on speedy de-virgination... It's election day, many of them still think that the only function of conservativism is voting for the GOP, but what they actually practice is Liberaltarianism.

I had heard that the 40 yo virgin was pretty decent as far as the message went. Do you recommend it? I like wacky comedies but really wasn't sure about this one. Could I watch it with my 11 year old son or should just I and my wife see it?

If one is a Christian it goes without saying that they will remain a virgin until they marry.
It's simple...sex belongs only within marriage!

I ultimately regret getting the movie since it was so stupid, but the ultimate message was a good one.
I am waiting until marriage. I have a girlfriend right now, and we are very close to engagement and have talked about it. It is VERY hard for both of us (it isn't just a difficulty for guys), but I am waiting until the wedding day.
I must admit though, I am REALLY glad I met the girl I think I will marry so young....
After so many failed dates and getting frustrated at never quite finding the right one, I frankly was wondering at 22 if I would even find her. I think I finally have done so.
Man, I am glad I found her now and not when I was 30. It would be hard to wait past then just due to all the pressure from society.

I thought I was the only one who was disappointed in FR because of the immature vulgarity that's so frequent on the News/Activism Forum.
I objected , about a month ago, to a particularly gross, disgusting and offensive post and surprsingly, it never was pulled nor was the poster warned.

It's better to wait till marriage. You aren't missing much and contrary to what people say, it's vastly better with someone you love.

Good for you and your dear one! Be strong. You will respect each other and trust each other more throughout your marriage if you enter marriage pure, and that's a fact. God bless you mucho!

You'll be glad you waited in the long run. You can have the satisfaction of knowing that your physical urges didn't override your emotions and you'll be proud that you waited. There's a lot to being able to say "We did it (waited) and survived."
It can be an encouragement to others, and imagine how you'll feel if your kids ask you if you waited. You'll be able to look them straight in the eye and tell them the truth with nothing to be ashamed of. That counts for a lot.

Excellent post!
It's a relief to read that despite our culture, there are people in my generation (I'm 20) who still believe in virginity...

Just the wife and you. It's wacky, and crude, don't go for the unrated version.

I am relieved right along with you. And as we both know the truth of the matter there is no way to determine good and true sex unless one has been a virgin beyond high school. Can't know something well unless one knows it's opposite. And abstinence for the kingdom is that opposite. And the King of that Kingdom rocks, for he gave his life complete for all us sinners. We can wait for the true good and beautiful.
I was a virgin until I got married at age 26 and had I not found the most wonderful girl in the world, I would have waited until I was in my 40s or beyond! Cause God is good and became man for our sake. Just for our sake. Only to love us and be closer to us. Pure truth incarnated and brutally suffered for love of us. That is love! That is gift! That is true total offering ... as sex is designed to be by the creator, by the redeemer, by Love Himself. And sex which gives all to the other is Love Supreme, like John Coltrane's saxophone sings. And giving never felt so good when it is gift to other via Love Supreme.
God bless all the virgins and their search for truth, acceptance and love. May Love support them forever and a day.

Is Hugh Hefner a man? He is SOO damn effeminate. What the hell kind of man walks around in a bathrobe???He is a busy man with a lot of business to attend to. He doesn't have time to change from business attire to birthday suit how ever many times a day he does, so hence the business attire Hughey style.
