"solemn assembly" that officially ends a 40-day period of prayer on whether to leave the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia over differences on biblical authority, homosexual clergy and same-sex unions.

A good example of talking something to death.

Anglicans tend to be very good at that -- though there is a reason for that.

Talking something to death?

For these 250 year old huge congregations to even discuss it, is a big deal. They are set, according to friends I have in one of them too, to leave--and the offence (or really the last straw) was only last summer.

Anglicans grind on a long time, but the flour is mighty fine.
