I'm not happy about that fact that as a cradle Catholic, I had never heard of the miracle of the blood of St. Januarius or the Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano until I stumbled upon them as an adult.

I know exactly what you mean, though I learned about the miracle of St. Januarius as a kid. It was featured in a National Geographic documentary on Herculanaeum and the modern-day volcanic and seismic risks to the Naples region.
