To some degree. It is, and always has been a "fraternity." It's a place for men to have fraternal bonding, have fun, and do good works that they could not otherwist do by themselves.

There is no religion invovled at all, except that all the value (and lessons) come from this two commandments: "Love the Lord, thy God with all thy heart, and love thy neighbor as thyself."

AND yes, the God is the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.

Hmmmm...as with other Masons I've seen here getting overly defensive, they all seem to say Catholics are attacking Masons. All I've really seen here is an attach on the ideology of Masonry. Haven't seen much slander of individual Masons.

However, I'd have to ask you if slandering people as doing "Satan's work" is something you consider to be exemplary behavior?

I thank you and others for defending the craft against such as those who would attack it on this forum. The level of ignorance concerning the Masonic craft never ceases to amaze.
