ATLANTA, Ga (9/5/2006)--Lee Buck, 83, Episcopal evangelist, went to be with the Lord today at his home in Atlanta. It was a joyful occasion said his daughter Melody. He was surrounded by his wife Audrey of 62 years, his four daughters, grandchildren and great grand children. They sang hymns to him as he departed this life. He had no pain.
Lee had been in hospital with heart problems, so his death was not unexpected. He was at home when he went to be with the Lord.
Lee was probably the Episcopal Church's best known, leading lay evangelist for many years before leaving ECUSA and joining a parish under another ecclesiastical authority. He could no longer abide the Episcopal Church's apostasies. He was deeply saddened by the TEC's moral and theological decline.
He had been a senior executive in the insurance business for many years before coming under the ministry of the evangelical charismatic preacher Terry Fullam [sic: "Fulham"] in Connecticut where he received the fullness of the Holy Spirit and began his own ministry of evangelism.
All his family of children, grand children and great grand children are believers.
The funeral will be held Saturday at the Church of the Apostles, Northside Parkway, Atlanta at 2pm. All are welcome. "It will be a time of celebration of his life and ministry," said Melody.
