I don't know why anyone would want to do a driveby attack on an organization without identifying him or herself (and what religious faith to which he/she belongs).

You have overlooked one more thing: If you know a young man who you think could be a good priest, tell him so. It might be all that he needs in order to begin to listen for God's call. It's entirely possible that he may never become a priest, but on the other hand it's also entirely possible that he just needs that little bit of encouragement.
very true -- not only for future vocations but present ones as well. Vocations can be fragile, we have to encourage our priests -- and pray and make sacrifices for them.

Absolutely true.
From personal experience, I believe that it is of the utmost importance to pray and make sacrifices for priests, and especially those who have the responsibility of a parish with all the demands that are made on them.
The life of a priest is difficult, but also extremely rewarding and few lay people are privileged to have an insider's view of both of these aspects in the life of a priest.
The sheer number of public school districts makes accountibility hard. There are more than 10,000 different local educational authorities. Offending teachers are simply let go without specific charges and they go to work for another district.
I worry about these nuns, and when articles like this insist the people find Christ in the congregation not in the Eucharist...ummm...sounds like a clan not a church...
And why no deacons?
Alas, too often the priest shortage is due to lax shepherds.. at least this was true when I lived in Minnesota...who is the bishop?
And many people in these rural communities travel 40 miles every week to shop at Walmart, but complain if they have to go ten miles to mass...what's wrong with this picture?

I'm not certain because he has two series running on Saturday evenings and they flip back and forth. I'm not sure if it is this one or the other. Check out his SOLT home page. I think this talk was definitely a more than 4 part series and it was the final talk of the series.
