Agree? Hardly, the antinomian views of the New Covenant folks like Zens, Volker, et.al. are off base. Infant Baptism, the Covenant of Grace and the traditional reformed view of the law are solidly biblical.
I would agree there is a difference between bad theology - Arminianism and New Covenant Theology, and Federal Vision these folks are born again. Those with false theology or pagan theology - apart from God's sovereign grace - are seemingly outside the kingdom.

I'm glad that a reformed baptist is saying these things. It's been my experience that the most obnoxious, narrow and dogmatic Calvinists are of the baptistic variety--probably because they don't understand and/or fully accept covenant theology.

So a baptist speaking to baptists on being more open minded is OK with me. Just don't demand that I deny my children the New Covenant sign and seal of baptism.

In light of these statements, one wonders what Ryle, and even Reformed people today, would think of Calvin, who had Michael Servetus burned at the stake.

This statement of his is a grotesque caricature of history.

Cordially,
