These people are not "liberal" or "dissenters" or even "protestants". They are virulent ANTI-CATHOLICS! I have had to endure their hate and bigotry ever since I was a seminary student in the mid 1960's. They do not want to be Roman Catholics. They want the prestige of a 2000 year institution with affiliation all over the planet without belonging to the religion. In their incredible pride and arrogance they think they know better than all the Apostles and their descendants. They know better than all the doctors of the Church. And what is it they want? Complete freedom to do whatever they like with the sanction of the "Church". Since the Church won't give them the time of day, they act to subvert Christ's Church which is shining the light on their dastardly plans. They are among the most intolerant people on earth. They deride, laugh at and shout down anyone who dares to stand up for the Roman Catholic faith. They throw out and shun anyone who does not agree wholeheartedly with them. They are haters and bullies. Fortunately for me, I love to take on bullies and enjoy going toe-to-toe with these blow-hards. But most people don't like that sport so they remain cowed. But let's tell it like it is. These people do not believe in the Roman Catholic religion. Their church is the "American Catholic Church of the Most Maximum Convenience" and they hate my Church.

Exactly. Somebody asked some feminist nut - perhaps Rosemary Reuther - why she continued to teach at an institution she claimed to be hopelessly patriarchal, corrupt, yada, yada, and she said, "Because that's where the Xerox machine is." In other words, they just want to use the Church.
