Gee, it's a good thing they haven't needed to refurbish the Darth Vader or Kermit-the-Frog statues.
(In fairness, such statues are "grotesques," or artistic waterspouts, used artistically to represent scaring away evil spirits. They are such objects, which, when used as drainspouts, are called "gargoyles." "Groteque" comes from "grotto," meaning "cave," whereas "gargoyle" comes from gargulio, meaning "throat," or "gullet.")
