You are not wrong - Jesus spoke Aramaic. The New testament was written in Greek.

So we see some works of our Lord translated, such as,

"And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?:

Mark 15:34

Did the disciples speak Aramaic or Greek? Thanks for the info. I guess I realized the NT was written in Greek and not Aramaic but thought the language of the day was Aramaic, at least for the Jews.
