What "ancestral" land? The land as described by Moses? The ancestral land during the time of David? The ancestral land during the time of Solomon? Are you referring to the ancestral land of the 10 northern tribes called Israel or the ancestral land of the southern tribe which encompassed Jerusalem, which was called Judah? The land as pictured by Ezekial?
Trying to determine what precisely is the "ancestral" land becomes a murky issue. In any case, Israel is not occupying any of these but has a different set of boundries.
