Funding for an English translation has been secured, however, from private sources, and is now proceeding.

As background, the publisher of Chiesa Viva, Monsignor Luigi Villa, was entrusted by Padre Pio with the mission of ferreting out the Communist and Freemasonic infiltration in the Roman Catholic Church.

Monsignor Villa has been most dilligent in this effort over the past five decades and as a result at least four or five attempts have beeen made upon his life, with two of them putting him into a coma, one of which lasted for six months. He has also had every tooth in his mouth broken.

Others with whom Monsignor Villa has worked have been even more unfortunate.

If the architect did not conciously incorporate Masonic symbolism in the design of the church, he was obvious very heavily influenced by the following:

1. The main hall of the U.N. General Assembly (church proper);

2. The sketches of M.C. Escher (the cross); and

3. The opening scenes of 2001: A Space Odyssey (the chapel).

Slightly off topic - I'm not Catholic, so much of this is foreign to me. But I've heard of Padre Pio before.

And not in a good way. Apparently, in Northern Ireland, kneecapping and shooting out the elbows is so yesterday. The newest form of punishment shootings over the past couple of years involves having the victim put his hands together as if in prayer. He is then shot through both hands.

They call it the Padre Pio. As I said, I'm not Catholic, but even I must shake my head at that and wonder is there nothing sacred anymore.

That title is misleading. The real title was in a question form for a discussion forum. It is NOT based on Freemason symbols, at least it was not meant to be, but on other buildings as another poster has already stated. Of course, a few Masonic symbols were already used by the Church prior to their formation, such as the Maltese Cross, so that would not be incompatible with the Church.

I'm no fan of Freemasons, but the days of them actually working against the Catholic Church are long over, and that was limited to a few incidents in Europe anyway. This is like an old boogie man tale.

Still, it is against Church law for a Catholic to be a Freemason. It is no longer under the penalty of excommunication, but it is still a grave sin, and the Catholic member may not receive communion.

The authors allege that Masonic symbols are apparent everywhere. The authors allege that their special issue of Chiesa Viva has put into focus an alleged Masonic plan to DO battle with God by attempting to destroy the Catholic Church with Masonic Ecumenism. According to the authors the most devastating aspect of this blasphemy is the direct insult to the Holy Trinity and Our Lord Jesus Christ that have been symbolically displaced from the Cross and the Tabernacle and replaced by the blasphemous "Masonic triple trinity" and of Lucifer in person.

Just looked at the pics - that is one uuuugly design. Conspiracy Ping! to read later.

Ya don't think the Masons have gotten to them too, do ya?

Yikes........this is scary!!!!!

Email this directly to Msgr. Ganswein at the Vatican and he'll go directly to Pope Benedict. Do not send this to Levada at the CDF. If you do, make sure you leave town immediately or at the very least change the locks on your home. He can't be trusted.

In the meantime, take a look at this!!!! After you've done so, immediately change your FR tag. Not too many of us know about this and those who do are being tracked by the powers of evil.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Declaration on Masonic Associations (1983)

It has been asked whether there has been any change in the Church's decision in regard to Masonic associations since the new Code of Canon Law does not mention them expressly, unlike the previous code.

This sacred congregation is in a position to reply that this circumstance is due to an editorial criterion which was followed also in the case of other associations likewise unmentioned inasmuch as they are contained in wider categories.

Therefore, the Church's negative judgment in regard to Masonic associations remains unchanged since their principles have always been considered irreconcilable with the doctrine of the Church and, therefore, membership in them remains forbidden. The faithful, who enroll in Masonic associations are in a state of grave sin and may not receive Holy Communion.

It is not within the competence of local ecclesiastical authorities to give a judgment on the nature of Masonic associations which would imply a derogation from what has been decided above, and this in line with the declaration of this sacred congregation issued Feb. 17,1981.

In an audience granted to the undersigned cardinal prefect, the Supreme Pontiff John Paul II approved and ordered the publication of this declaration which had been decided in an ordinary meeting of this sacred congregation.

Rome, from the Office of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, November 26, 1983

Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger,
Prefect
Father Jerome Hamer, O.P. Titular Archbishop of Lorium, Secretary

Richard Feynman spoke of being admitted to the Arister when in high school. He said that, "Most of their time was spent deciding who was worthy enough to join this group that we are.

He later resigned from the American Association for the Advancement of Science for the same reason.

"The whole thing was rotten!" he said.

I have read a lot about Padre Pio, I doubt he would like this church at all. What is the matter with them? That cross is stupid. Padre Pio would want Jesus on it.

Worried about Masons? Worry about this. Italians not replacing themselves. Italy will become a Muslim country before the Masons ever get a chance to drive those funny little cars around Rome...

Millions of Catholics devoted to Padre Pio would be shocked and angry.

And all the Catholic Freemasons - yes, Virginia, there are many - won't be.

"This March 2006 special edition of Chiesa Viva has been sent to the following traditional and conservative Catholic publications and amazingly they are afraid to reprint the story."

Maybe the traditional Catholic publications have more wisdom than the group which is using anti-Masonic disinformation as a wedge issue in an apparent attempt to to create a chism between the Catholic groups for some reason. Or maybe the traditional Catholic publications see this as one more attempt to resurrect the 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion,.'

Judging from the many pages of the Chiesa Viva issue in question which are dedicated to an historical re-hash of the Protocols of Zion, I'd say the issue is an obvious attempt to certify the document as authentic.

I doubt if Chiasa Viva will be printing the issue in English and I’m sure the traditional Catholic publications will give that anti-semitic, anti-Freemasonry nature of the issue a wide berth.

Chiasa Viva has some strange bedfellows. Anton Chaitkin, et al, which they source for much of the issue, which makes me wonder why you posted this on FR without being able to substantiate the Masonic nature of any of the pictures in the issue which this whole story is based upon.

Of course you know that Mr. Chaitkin is the co-author of the unofficial biography of George Bush, and bosum buddy of Lyndon RaRouche of the Schiller Institute.

Yes, strange bedfellows indeed.
