If the architect did not conciously incorporate Masonic symbolism in the design of the church, he was obvious very heavily influenced by the following:

1. The main hall of the U.N. General Assembly (church proper);

2. The sketches of M.C. Escher (the cross); and

3. The opening scenes of 2001: A Space Odyssey (the chapel).

You mean it looks as if it were inspired by a bunch of primitive apes smashing bones together?
