Fellay Reelected (SSPX superior)

Fellay reelected Bishop Bernard Fellay has been reelected as Superior-General of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X - FSSPX/SSPX (Communiqué in French here).

Also elected, as First Assistant: Father Pflüger (District Superior in Germany, 2004-2006); as Second Assistant: Father Nély (District Superior in Italy, 2004-2006).

Le mardi 11 juillet 2006, au séminaire d’Ecône (Suisse), le Chapitre général de la Fraternité Saint Pie X a procédé à l’élection de son Supérieur général et de ses deux Assistants généraux.

Après avoir vérifié que les quarante capitulants étaient régulièrement convoqués, et après avoir entendu le rapport du supérieur sortant, le chapitre a réélu Mgr Bernard Fellay supérieur général pour douze ans. MM. les abbés Niklaus Pfluger et Alain-Marc Nély ont été respectivement élus premier et deuxième assistants pour douze ans également.

Mgr Bernard Fellay est né le 12 avril 1958, en Suisse. Il est entré au séminaire d’Ecône en octobre 1977. Il a été ordonné prêtre le 29 juin 1982, et fut aussitôt nommé économe général de la Fraternité. Il a été en même temps chargé de l’aumônerie de plusieurs groupes de jeunes et d’un ministère paroissial. Il a accompli plusieurs voyages apostoliques dans les pays du Tiers Monde. Le 30 juin 1988, il fut consacré évêque tout en gardant ses fonctions d’économe général jusqu’à sa première élection comme supérieur de la Fraternité, en juillet 1994. Mgr Fellay parle couramment le français, l’anglais et l’allemand, il connaît l’italien et l’espagnol.

M. l’abbé Niklaus Pfluger est né le 3 novembre 1958 à Oensingen (Suisse). Il est entré au séminaire de Zaitzkofen (Allemagne) en 1978, il a été ordonné prêtre en 1984. Après une année au prieuré d’Oberriet, il est prieur à Bâle de 1985 à 1989. Supérieur du district de Suisse en 1989, il est nommé directeur du séminaire de Zaitzkofen en 1991. En 1998, il est de nouveau supérieur du district de Suisse. Depuis 2004, il est supérieur du district d’Allemagne. M. l’abbé Pfluger parle le français et l’allemand.

M. l’abbé Alain-Marc Nély est né le 18 février 1950 à La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (France). Il est entré au séminaire d’Ecône en 1979, et y a reçu l’ordination sacerdotale en 1984. De 1984 à 1994, il fut directeur-adjoint et professeur de philosophie à l’école Saint Joseph des Carmes (Aude). De 1994 à 2004, il a été prieur-doyen de Marseille. Depuis 2004, il est supérieur du district d’Italie. M. l’abbé Nély parle le français, l’anglais et l’italien.

Directeur du Service d’information de la Fraternité Saint Pie X

Of the SSPX bishops, Bp. Fellay seems the most reasonable, and recognizes, I think, that remaining in the current situation indefinitely is not an option.

Of course he is not going to compromise, but compromise is not what is needed. What is needed is a proper reading of Vatican II, which the Holy Father seems to be trying to bring about.

the sspx is not in schism and not excommunicated . canon law and the magesterium is on their side-----the sspx will help to save the church from modernism and their apostasy-----God bless the sspx and the great saint archbishop lefebvre-
