It's obvious that Pope Benedict sees the Lord regularly. I'm surprised Zapatero could even approach him!

I was just reading the Spanish press and it mentioned that when the Pope returned to the episcopal palace after the vigil last night, he was met by groups of "tunas." A "tuna" is a group of young men, usually university students, who dress in traditional Renaissance-era dress and go from place to place singing and playing various Spanish traditional instruments, usually guitars, mandolins and similar. They serenaded the Pope with traditional Valencian songs and were accompanied by some older "tunos" (a person who sings in a "tuna") as well. Quite festive, and a real sign of respect and affection.
