I wonder if the tests will show it to be gopher wood or have traces of pitch on it...

"Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch."

Sections of petrified wood 12 to 14 feet high and 40 feet long were found. They found a huge pile of timber, thought to be floors or walls, in four-to-six foot sections.

What's wrong? Can't they measure in cubits?

Cornuke is a bit of a flake with no geological or archaeological background, but his book on finding the real Mt. Sinai was quite interesting. That time, he snuck into Saudi Arabia, so his sneaking into Iran would not be a surprise. I'll withhold judgment until seeing what he has found.

Noah’s Ark, Pieces Intact, Found

It's either intact (i.e., in one piece), or it's in pieces.

If you watch the video Saturday, please give us your thoughts on its authenticity next week, for those of us who won't be able to watch it. Thanks - OB1

While Probably a fake, I kind of hope he found it.

Been a daydream of mine since I was about 6.

Geologists took nine samples of the ark under the strict eye of a video team for analysis by the Smithsonian Institute.

Makes about as much sense as using foresters to collect rock samples.

Well, I just called the number listed on his website to ask someone there in his office if he was still scheduled to appear on Foxnews Saturday at 8:00pm ET, and guess who answers the phone? Mr. Cornuke! He said that as far as he knows he is still scheduled to appear, but can't guarantee it because he's been cancelled once before right before going on Live. We shall see.

"but by following the precise language of the Bible, Cornuke found what is believed to be Noah’s Ark, nearly intact...."

Gen 8:4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

Perhaps I'm missing some directions from my Bible.

Why is someone called Bill Wilson putting his name on an article apparently trnaslated into English by Babelfish?

I had no idea that trees in Iraq used to grow 12 feet wide. Otherwise you could never have a piece of wood that big.

Okay, I'll bite -- what in the heck does "oldest DNA known to man" mean, and how do you "date" DNA?

I'm familiar with a very large number of dating methods, as well as multiple analytical techniques to extract various kinds of information from DNA, but this just sounds like total mumbo-jumbo.

More commonly known as "big rock outcroppings".

Thanks Blam. Bob Cornuke again, eh? He said some modern pieces of machinery laying on the bottom of the Gulf of Aqaba were chariot wheels from the wreckage of the pharaoh's army in pursuit of the Israelites (if memory serves); also just noticed that he claims to have found the anchors from the ship which carried St Paul to Malta.

If it's not too much trouble, tape it? :') Actually, if that's just regular Fox (not cable), I'll tape it myself. :'D
