That such a respected Catholic would go around recycling 20-year-old, thoroughly-refuted creationist arguments, as well as misquoting eminent scientists, is just plain disgraceful. As St. Augustine said:
"Usually, even a non-Christian knows something about the earth...the kinds of animals...and so forth... Now, it is a disgraceful and dangerous thing for an infidel to hear a Christian, presumably giving the meaning of Holy Scripture, talking nonsense on these topics."
Heed the great doctor's words and stop talking nonsense.
I am not sure how your argument applies to me, nor to my brethren, nor to the articles' author.
Perhaps if you were to share with us *exactly* the nature of our "error," with a solid argument instead of recurring to ad hominems, we might understand your point.
