I am not comparing Bro. Cloud with Graham. I posted the things I knew about Bro. Cloud after he was attacked by others.

His article concerns the areas where Graham has veered from what Scripture teaches.

THAT is what the discussion should be about, not the messenger.

And the "One True Church" article concerns the areas where "Brother" Cloud has allegedly veered from the scriptures. The problem is that Brother Cloud (like "the One True Church people) seems to think he has a lock on the mysteries of the bible and that everyone who doesn't think exactly as he does is a rank heretic.

Why post this thread now, when Billy Graham has already retired from the ministry? what purpose (other than to promote your pal "brother" Cloud) is served by this thread?

And why is it that cult members always refer to each other as "brother" ______.

What's most important isn't the hair splits over the tiny shades of meaning that we spend most of our time fighting over. What matters most is: Do we love Jesus with all we have? Do we fulfill his call to be salt and light and leaven to a sin-sick world by how we live and how we love and how we grow in our relationship with Jesus?

Sometimes, articles like this throw dust up where we spend our time worrying about the mechanics instead of loving the Lord with all our hearts, all our souls and all our minds and our neighbor as ourselves.

When the messenger is clearly launching a biased and slanted, mostly unfounded attack, dragging out carefully selected 30-40 year old snips then it is quite appropriate to discuss the messenger.

But wait, of course, the evidence does not matter, it is about the seriousness of the charge. Where have I heard that before?

We are clearly going to disagree on the attack screed masquarading as an article. I'll try to remember to pray for "brother" Cloud and to thank God for putting him somewhere that I don't have to hear from him on a regular basis.
