I just rcv'd this email from a dear family friend:
Dear Friends and Family,
My mom just called with an urgent prayer request for my brother Paul and his pregnant wife Lynette. What I have been told is that she has a disease called "Fatty Liver of Pregnancy" and that the doctors may consider delivering the baby n sometime within the next few weeks without much hope of the baby surviving. The baby is due the end of June. What my parents have been told is the baby would probably not make it if Lynette carried her to term and it would destroy Lynette's liver to continue the pregnancy. Please pray for healing and wisdom for everyone involved. I cannot imagine the choices that my brother and the doctor's are going to have to make. The agony of it all. I know that God is sovereign and not even this is surprising him. Please PLEASE pray for them. Pray for a healing for Lynette and strength for the baby and all involved. My brother and I are not on great terms, but he is asking me to pray, that is amazing. I do not know the condition of my brother's spiritual heart but I pray it is turning back to God.
Dear God in heaven, please reach out and bless this family. Please care for this little baby and provide strength, wisdom and your love to the doctors involved in caring for this momma and baby. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Prayers sent

I believe there are blessings everywhere, in all things, even the scariest, most trying times. It is really hard to bless us when we have everything. It's when things are hard that we become humble and God can pour out His blessings on us. I pray that this is one of those times, for you, your brother, and his family.
May our Lord, the Great Healer, bring healing to this mother and child, and may His comfort surround the parents and His wisdom guide them and the doctors. Amen.
Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you. Psalm 147:12-13 Let this little one and this mother be a testimony to the Word of the Lord.
In my thoughts and in my prayers.
Prayers for Paul, Lynette and their baby. Please keep us posted.
This is an email I rcv'd from our dear close family friend:
Thank you all so much for your prayers for Lynette and my brother Paul. I have an update for you.
My mom has told me that Lynette saw the OB today and according to my mom, things do not look to great. The baby has not grown at all in the last two weeks, Lynettes kidneys and liver are "messed up", Lynette has developed diabetes, and they are starting to wonder if the baby has been starved for oxygen. My mom tells me that the doctors do not have much hope of the baby surviving once seperated from Lynette and that even Lynette may have a pretty tough time. They have not hospitalized her yet, but are watching her closely. Apparently because of Lynette's poor health, they do not feel comfortable doing the C-section now, they feel she is not strong enough yet.
That is about all I know. This baby is my brother's first, their other two children are from Lynette's previous marriage. It meant a lot to him, he has had a very hard life and I wonder if this will make him bitter. Please pray for God's wisdom and strength. God is still the God of miracles.
Oh, no. More prayers for Lynette, your brother Paul and their baby are on the way.
Prayers for the the whole family.
