today's election for the new Bishop Coadjutor-elect for the diocese of Albany is over -- winner is the Very Rev. William H. Love. You can find picture, bio, info, etc. on the Diocesewebsite. He's soundly orthodox and a leader in our healing ministry, and led our delegation to GC03.Update: more information (picture of Father Love, vote tallies, etc.) can be found here.This is a victory for othodoxy in the diocese and a sign that charismatic renewal and the healing ministry are here to stay.... There was one candidate --Hunter-- who was opposed to the ordination of women....but [after the first round of voting] was clearly not a contender...
Love apparantly spoke up during GC 03 against the consecration of Robinson: his election is a sign that the diocese wants firm, outspoken orthodox leadership.
Traditional Anglican ping, continued in memory of its founder Arlin Adams. Can't say an orthodox Bishop will do much good, given that it looks very much as if the ECUSA will be disfellowshiped from the Anglican Communion this summer....if/when they don't repent of the Robinson consecration.

Bishop Hubbard of Albany has been accused of homosexual affairs with seminarians, including by a couple if those seminarians. As far as the lawyers go, it's hard to pick who's worse: HUbbard's is the Clinton judge who got overruled daily during Whitewater; the opposing attorney has made all sorts of wild and unsubstantaited claims in the media, trying to blackmail the Catholic church into approving of homosexual marriages and sex-romping priests; he's drawn into it Cardinal Eagen and Archbishop Meiers of Newark.
