OK, so which would be worse, if they're really selling a relic, or if it's a fraud?
A LOT of priceless art work and relics have been stolen from churches in Central and South America lately, especially in Peru.
The Boycott is Over: Ebay Will Not Permit Future Auctions of Catholic Communion Hosts . It was about the sale of Hosts, but this may apply:
Excerpt: Much to its credit, Ebay has reconsidered, and has officially stated that, under its existing policies, sales of the Eucharist, as well as other unspecified holy objects of Catholics and other religious faiths, will not be permitted in the future. In fact, Ebay is asking Catholics to bring any violations of this policy to its attention promptly, so that it can take appropriate action.
He looked over both auctions by this seller, and said they will cover this in another story. They will also re-visit the previous encounter with ebay's allowing the sale of the Holy Eucharist.
He asked that I send an e-mail detailing who I have contacred/called/emailed so far, and include any responses they gave, as well as any thoughts I may have on this for "quotes" in their story.
Here is his email address: editor@lifesitenews.com. Put "JOHN HENRY" in the subject line so he knows which emails to look for as he said he receives about 400 a day.
Hopefully, we can help end this auction, as well as any similar ones now or later.
I’m sure Pope Francis won’t bid for it. He’d rather send Peter’s Pence to the United Nations.
