Most of these writings make attempts to alter the Bible, and think if they leave out a certain part, it makes it, not so. Well, God says, adulterers, liars, thieves, homosexuals, murderers, etc..., shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. What part of those words are not understood?
Of course you are right. It is a matter of no small importance that Jesus was a Jew and that he did NOT preach to the Greeks.

I've found 1st Corinthians 6:9 to provide the best direct guidance on the topic. IMHO, there may also be many situations when discussing this with somebody who is guilty of those sins, to not get absorbed into direct confrontation on the sin issue, but rather seek to fish for the person's thinking.
Instead of emphasizing that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom, instead communicate the Word by taking one of the other categories of those who also will not receive the kingdom. For example, discuss how revilers or swindlers or liars will not inherit the kingdom. Then go on to discuss how a person might have committed those sins, but if that person turns away from that mode of thinking that generates those sins and thinks as though he/she were a babe, innocent through faith in Christ, that any sinner is able to come to God and exercise a little bit of faith in Him, and allow Him to handle the continueing sanctification.
After this and several other usable doctrines are understood, let the sinner evaluate his/her own life and decide how they are to return to God.
If they fail to step away from those types of sins, then they merely lose out on many rewards waiting them in heaven.
I've also found the 1stCor 6:9 verse may be revisited by commentting how churches that claim to be Gay-Lesbian-Bi Friendly are similar to churches that are Swindler-Liar- Murderer Friendly and refer them back to the verse for them to draw their own conclusions.
In this fashion there is also a less chance of a scarred soul, reacting to Scripture and instead responding to God, so the sinner allows Him guide them appropriately.
