I just remember as a young man attempting to absorb the new testament via the KJV. Man oh man, I felt so bad that I just couldn't get it. I'd read the hither's, thereunto's, verily verily's and all that and my head would start swimming.

But I bet you picked up on modern slang pretty quickly, huh?

BTW there are 4 verses with "thereunto" in the KJV New Testament and 23 with "hither".
