Ring of Fire Enterprises Blog Page: "Fish Wars in the News From The Wall Street Journal, July 22, 1999, p. A24:
Take a look at the bumpers in this northern California town normally known more for wine than religious controversy. Skip Keyser, a nuclear engineer turned real estate agent, has a Darwin fish on his pickup truck. 'It shows my belief in evolution as opposed to creationism,' he says. Joel Levitt, a therapist in town, put a fish emblem emblazoned 'Gefilte' ... 'I'm Jewish and I thought it was cute,' says Mr. Levitt. 'I often see people in my rearview mirror staring and trying to figure it out.'"
Since they love to hate Christianity and Bush and anything Republican, I thought they were atheists.
But now that they have a star of david in their Gefilte fish, it looks like they are giving respect to Jews while professing near hatred for Christians. So now Jewish people are flocking to the site to buy stuff that attempts to slap Christians in the face. The guy in Gaithersburg today also had a bumper sticker that read, "Closed minds would be a wonderful thing to lose" This is obviously directed towards conservatives, especially Christian conservatives for we are the closed minded people supposedly according to left wingers.
I have to wonder how open minded this guy would be if I suggested he consider not allowing gays to marry or allowing Bush to use the NSA as he considers fair when it comes to protecting the lives of Americans. I suspect he'd be closed minded about those subjects. I choose to say nothing so as not to give him satisfaction.

I like fish.
...from the group who loves to bash Christians. evolvefish.com. They also garauntee replacement of all their Darwin emblems if a Christian vandalizes it.
while God may have mercy on their souls, I prefer not to
Just let them do a "smiley-face Muhammad" (smiley face with a beard and turban) that I saw in a newspaper cartoon the other day, and then see what happens.
Man you fish people are wound up tight.
"Needless outrage/perpetually annoyed" bump?
It's one thing to see non-believers doing this, it's another to see a different religion on the offensive. Especially when the other religion is one that's routinely embraced by conservatives.
I'm all for their right to do it. I'd never tell them to stop. It does help though to know they are thinking like this and are willing to do so publicly.
Oh and of course if a Christian tried to insult the star of david we'd be relentlessly attacked as being anti-semetic.
I won't loose sleep over it.
