The Episcopal Church (ECUSA) is one of 38 provinces in the Anglican Communion. The Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) is another province. In the last five years, Anglican provinces in Africa, South America and Southeast Asia have been taking oversight of Anglican congregations in the US and Canada that don't want any part of the mess in ECUSA or ACC. It would be as though the Catholic Archbishop of New York opening and or taking over parishes within the geographical boundaries of the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston without permission from the Archbishop of Boston.
That's good news. I did hear that it was African Anglican churches that were most digusted with the direction in the West.
