Preaching" Gospels to flies, as Dr E. mockingly says, in no way means by words but rather as the saint said "even by words." That may be a little too much for those who can't think outside the box.

Like this?

How many souls do you see?

To be honest, I missed the distinction when typing. However, it does not change what was being said in either post since he later spoke about the souls of plants.

There is also Roman 5.

What does that have to do with Isaiah?

The difference is that her potential sin was wiped off before she could commit any.

Why, that sound almost Calvinistic. Too bad God doesn't do it for everyone. ;O)

Just a question of interest, do we have a "potential" to sin and if we have a potential to sin, why does God allow us to sin? Did God take away Mary's free will when He took away her potential to sin?

Very good question.

Will bugs be resurrected from the dead? Will there be mosquitoes in heaven? Africa killer bees?

How about my Venus Fly Trap I had when I was 10 years old?

Honestly, where these conversations lead us to....

I don't think we have to be kind to bugs, although I think we have to be kind to higher minded creatures, even the ones we eat. That after all was the beginning of kosher killing in the old days. Kindness is a chief trait that Abraham possessed, and when Jesus said "Blessed are the merciful", he was referencing kindness.

What were called in were spirit filled men (elders/pastors) to administer oil, a sign of the Holy Spirit and a form of medience of the ancient times Why not just say, the priests were called in to annoint the sick, -- they still do, -- and call a spade a spade?

Because they were not 'priests', they were elders or Pastors.

That same Greek word is translated in the Rheims as 'Ancients' in some places and 'senior' in 1Pe.5:1 and Rev.4:4.

They were coming together in someone else's home to worship and fellowship. They were coming for the Eucharist. Read the letter, please. There is no "worship and fellowship"; Paul spells out the meaning of the Eucharist in this passage.

That chapter (11) has to do with the Lord's supper and those abusing it.

There is alot more going on then just the Lord's supper.

That chapter deals with the authority of the man over the women (vs 1-11).

The letter of Corinthians has to do with a baby church that needed to grow up.

you do nothing to explain what Peter means when he speaks of the priesthood of the believers He does not. He speaks of royal priesthood. "Ofg the believers is your spin, for which you show no scriptural justification.

It says that 'you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood' (vs.9).

That applies to every believer.

Unless you are saying that the Priest is in a different race.

What it discusses is the priestly class that existed in the Old Testament No, he is not. He is explaining what Christian priests are.

No, he is referring to all Christians.

He is not saying anything about any special clergy.

Footnote from the NAS,

The pregoatives of ancient Israel mentioned here are more fully applied to the Christian people 'a chosen race' indicates their divine election 'a royal priesthood' to serve and worship God in Christ, thus continuing the priestly functions of this life, passiona and resurrection, 'a holy nation' reserved for God, a people he claims for his own in virture of their baptism into his death and resurrection

That is a comment from a Roman Catholic Bible.

That passage is not speaking of any special class of clergy, but all Christians.

Without question we should be kind to animals.(pr.12:10)

We have to be careful to separate the creation from the Creator.

You are getting warm. Killing animals for food is also a sign of our corruption. God gave man plants as "meat." It is only after the Fall that we begin to eat animals, and animals each other.

And yes, "Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy" sasy our Lord Jesus Christ.

You are correct that animals eating one another and man eating them is from the Fall.

That will be changed in the Millennium (Is.11:6-7)

I am not sure that man will stop eating meat, however, but the animals will stop eating one another.
