Sanctuary, a company of orthodox Episcopalians in the Diocese of Upper South Carolina, is hosting an event for traditional Episcopalians at Church of the Good Shepherd in Columbia on January 17, 2006.
Sarah Hey writes,
In the past, Sanctuary has hosted some wonderful speakers a Episcopal layperson with a PhD from SW Florida, the Dean of Deans of the Anglican Communion Network, the president of the Institute on Religion and Democracy, the COO of the AAC, a professor of New Testament studies, and many more. This next events speakers will include Bishop Bob Duncan, of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, and our neighbor to the south, Bishop Ed Salmon, of the Diocese of South Carolina. Our own bishop [Bishop Dorsey Henderson] will also be a participant. I believe that it will be quite a triad of knowledge and insight and action regarding renewal and work within the Episcopal church.
This will be an evening of encouragement, connecting with others, hearing from wonderful speakers, asking questions, and supper. Cost is $15 per person which includes all presentations and supper. Pre-registration and agreement with the statement of faith are required.
